Finance : EBID reports CFA $5 million in new commitments in 2025

The ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development reported CFA 3 billion in new commitments in 2025, equivalent to about $5 million, aimed at financing priority projects across West Africa. Established by the Economic Community of West African States, the bank supports infrastructure, agriculture, energy and private-sector development. Its president George Agyekum Donkor noted that non-performing assets fell from 9% in 2020 to about 4.2%, reflecting stronger risk management.
