Finance : AFD and BADEA seal strategic partnership for sustainable development

On February 27, 2025, during the Finance in Common Summit in Cape Town, the French Development Agency (AFD) and the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA) signed a memorandum of understanding establishing a framework for enhanced cooperation for 2025-2029. This partnership aims to support African SMEs, finance renewable energy projects, strengthen food security, and develop sustainable infrastructure.
