Film : Afreximbank unveils $1 billion fund to boost Africa’s film industry

On May 3, 2025, Afreximbank, through its FEDA arm, launched the African Film Fund worth $1 billion (CFA 610 billion) to support film production, distribution and infrastructure. Part of the CANEX program, the fund aims to reshape Africa’s creative economy and amplify African voices globally.
