From September 5 to 7, 2025, Paris hosts the 15th edition of the African International Documentary Film Festival (FIFDA), highlighting heritage and memory through 11 films from 10 African countries and regions.

This year, FIFDA celebrates its fifteenth edition, reinforcing its pivotal role in promoting African cinema internationally. From September 5 to 7, 2025, the festival offers a diverse and rich program exploring social, historical, and literary themes.

Highlighted films include Wall Street Boy, Kipkemboi (Kenya), a social thriller following a young finance prodigy facing inequalities and the pitfalls of a ruthless system. The film skillfully examines the tensions between personal ambition and social justice.

Spotlight on the diversity of African perspectives on the world

The documentary Yambo Ouologuem, la blessure focuses on the life of the Malian writer, Renaudot Prize winner in 1968, whose work continues to challenge African literary memory and the controversies surrounding it.

The festival will close with Les Fourmies (Morocco), a fiction exploring contemporary migration journeys and the challenges faced by new generations in navigating mobility and borders.

FIFDA 2025 showcases the diversity of African perspectives on the world while fostering dialogue between cultures and generations. Screenings are open to both the public and professionals, offering a unique opportunity to discover films that question our collective memory and cultural heritage.
