EU: 46 flagship projects in 2025 focused on energy, climate, and education in Africa

The European Union Council has unveiled the list of 46 flagship projects under the Global Gateway program for 2025. This strategic initiative aims to boost investments in infrastructure, green energy, education, and research for sustainable development. Among these projects, 26 are focused on Africa, with a particular emphasis on climate, energy, and ecological transition. In 2025, major projects will be launched in countries such as Egypt, Tunisia, Ghana, and Côte d’Ivoire, with significant milestones planned to support energy transition, climate resilience, and digital infrastructure. The goal is to strengthen the EU’s partnerships with its African neighbors while contributing to the continent’s sustainable development.
