Ethiopia commenced the construction of the Gada Special Economic Zone in the Oromia region, contracted to the Chinese firm CCECC. Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed emphasized its significance for the country’s socio-economic development. The Lume Free Trade Zone, part of the project, aims to boost employment and foreign investment in Ethiopia.
