Ethiopia : Export earnings hit $7.21 billion, boosted by mining and agriculture

On June 20, Ethiopia’s Ministry of Trade reported record export revenues of $7.21 billion over 11 months, a 57% increase over the target. Mining reached 425% of its goal, while agriculture hit 118%. Minister Kassahun Gofe credited the surge to ongoing economic reforms. Ethiopia’s WTO accession is also said to be progressing steadily.
