Ethiopia : EU–Ethiopia forum in Paris strengthens partnerships and sustainable growth

On November 3, 2025, in Paris, the Ethiopia–European Union Investment Forum brought together Ethiopian and European officials along with major companies to deepen economic cooperation and explore investment opportunities. Organized by MEDEF International and the European Commission, discussions focused on aviation, renewable energy, infrastructure, transport, digital technology, and AI. Ethiopian Foreign Minister Gedeon Timotheos and Finance Minister Ahmed Shide highlighted ongoing reforms, while MEDEF CEO Philippe Gautier praised Ethiopia as a strategic partner. The forum was part of the EU’s Global Gateway initiative and paved the way for the Africa–EU Conference in Kenya, April 2026.
