Ethiopia : DESSU Corridor launched to boost regional trade

Ethiopia and Djibouti have signed an agreement to advance the DESSU Corridor project, connecting Djibouti, Ethiopia, South Sudan, and Uganda. Transport ministers Alemu Sime (Ethiopia) and Hassan Houmed (Djibouti) finalized the Dekahil–Galafi road, enhancing access for landlocked states to seaports, reducing logistics costs, and reinforcing Djibouti as a key logistics hub.
