Energy : the World Bank and the African Development Bank join forces to electrify Africa

The World Bank and the African Development Bank are launching an ambitious program to provide electricity access to 300 million people in Africa by 2030. With a public investment estimated at $30 billion, notably through IDA, and governmental reforms, this project will offer $9 billion investment opportunities in decentralized renewable energies. Electrification will help overcome development barriers, promoting health, education, and productivity.
