The expansion of Sun King, a company that sells off-grid solar energy solutions in Africa and Asia continues. After a $10-million investment from Proparco, the London-based investment company has announced a $70 million investment, in extension of an earlier Series D funding spearheaded by General Atlantic’s BeyondNetZero and M&G Investment. Sun King expands its $260 million fundraising to $330 million. Anish Thakkar, co-founder of the company, claims an installed capacity of 24 MWp. Over the past few years, this equipment has provided access to electricity for at least 3 million households.
