Algeria and Côte d’Ivoire signed a cooperation agreement in hydrocarbons and mining on Saturday, according to the Ministry of Energy and Mines of Algeria. Signed by Mohamed Arkab and Mamadou Sangafowa Coulibaly, the deal aims to develop joint projects in natural gas, LNG and mining exploration. It also includes skills transfer, training and digitalization. The OPEC estimates Africa holds about 7% of global oil reserves, highlighting the strategic importance of such partnerships for economic diversification.
