Egypt The Sovereign Fund concludes partnerships with Hassan Allam Holding and Actis
The Sovereign Fund of Egypt (TSFE) signed memoranda of understanding with the Egyptian engineering and construction group Hassan Allam Holding (HAH) – on January 16 in Cairo – and the British investor Actis – January 20 in London. As part of the agreement with HAH, a group operating in the Middle East and North Africa, the two institutions will work together to identify “high impact” projects and attract investment – foreign and local – necessary for their realization, in the sectors of electricity, water treatment, infrastructures and renewable energies. The memorandum of understanding signed with Actis is mainly aimed at mobilizing investment in infrastructure and energy, with a view to improving the participation of the private sector in the development of the Egyptian economy.
