Egypt The EIB is providing EUR 120m for the extension of the Alexandria wastewater treatment plant
The Egyptian Government has obtained a financing agreement from the European Investment Bank (EIB) for the project to extend and upgrade the West Alexandria Wastewater Treatment Plant. The European financial institution has agreed to allocate EUR 120 million to this project, the aim of which is to improve the quality of effluent treatment and, above all, to increase the capacity of the plant in order to adapt it to the needs of the populations of this Mediterranean port city, according to information relayed by Afrik 21.
