Egypt ExxonMobil enters oil exploration

 ExxonMobil announced Monday, December 30, that it will launch seismic data acquisition operations in 2020 in two oil blocks with an overall area of ​​approximately 7,054 km2 newly acquired in Egypt. According to the press release published by ExxonMobil announcing the acquisition of a new area for exploration at sea, the Egyptian government has allocated to the American oil group the blocks North Marakia Offshore (4,856.2 km2) and North East El Amriya Offshore (2,197 , 44 km2). ExxonMobil has a 100% stake in these two blocks located in the eastern Mediterranean.
