Egypt: Amr Mahmoud Abbas inquires about the conditions of fishermen detained in Tunisia

Amr Mahmoud Abbas, Egyptian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Consular Affairs, maintained that the Foreign Ministry was closely monitoring the living conditions of 17 Egyptian fishermen detained by Tunisian authorities following boardings southeast of Kerkennah. He called on Egyptian fishermen to respect the sovereignty of other countries and not to infiltrate the territorial waters of any of the countries neighboring Egypt.
