Egypt’s National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA) has issued IoT licenses to seven international automakers — including General Motors (OnStar), BMW, Audi, and Porsche — enabling connected services such as navigation, tracking, and emergency assistance. Backed by ICT Minister Amr Talaat, the move supports the Digital Egypt strategy, promoting safer roads and advancing the country’s digital transformation.
