Egypt : IMF approves $8 billion loan

The International Monetary Fund’s executive board has confirmed an agreement with Egypt to increase its bailout loan from $3 billion to $8 billion. This decision aims to bolster Egypt’s economy amid a shortage of foreign currency and soaring inflation. The first installment of approximately $820 million will be disbursed immediately.
