The 1.1 GW Suez wind project, led by Acwa Power (Saudi Arabia), is set to begin construction, with 64% of its $1.1 billion cost secured. A 20-year loan totaling $700 million was granted by a consortium including the EBRD, AfDB, and other partners. This project will boost renewable energy development in Egypt.
