Egypt : First African nation at WHO ML3 level for medicine and vaccine regulation

Egypt has become the first African nation to achieve WHO maturity level 3 (ML3) for regulating medicines and vaccines. Africa CDC hails this as a « source of immense pride for the continent, » marking a crucial step in strengthening Africa’s health security. The agency emphasizes, however, the urgency of reaching ML4, the gold standard, to ensure the quality and safety of high-risk medical products.
