The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has announced an investment of USD 200 million to support the construction of a 1.1 GW wind farm at Gabal el Zeit in the Gulf of Suez, Egypt. This project aims to strengthen the country’s energy transition, reducing CO2 emissions and contributing to Egypt’s renewable energy goals. Beyond its ecological impact, the initiative promises notable environmental benefits, including rigorous management of impacts on the region’s migratory birds.
