On February 15 2026, Banque du Caire signed a financing agreement with Kandil Glass Group to support industrial expansion in Egypt, including a new production plant in the Ataqa Free Zone near Suez.
The deal includes a $16.7 million medium‑term loan as part of a $20.4 million project for the establishment of Kandil Glass Industries, with planned 100 tons per day capacity serving domestic and export markets. Additional credit lines include $8 million and EGP 85.6 million for investment (CAPEX) and modernization.
