Education : Enko Education closes $46M funding to scale international schools

Enko Education, a pan-African international schools network co-founded by Cyrille Nkontchou and Eric Pignot, announced on February 17, 2026 the closing of $46 million in financing, including a $22 M loan from Standard Bank. Official disclosures confirm this financing builds on a $24 M equity round led in January 2025 by Africa Capitalworks and Adiwale Fund I, aiming to support the group’s buy-and-build strategy to expand and strengthen schools across sub-Saharan Africa and reach 20,000 learners by 2029. Enko Education operates 16 schools in 10 countries and reports that over 80 % of its graduates gain admission to more than 600 universities worldwide.
