Economic Freedom : Mauritius tops 2025 ranking

The Fraser Institute’s 2025 report ranks four African countries among the world’s top 100 economies for economic freedom. Mauritius leads the continent, ranking 21st globally (score 7.76), followed by the Seychelles (31st, 7.58), Cape Verde (44th, 7.44) and Morocco (94th, 6.38). The study assesses 165 countries based on five key pillars, including monetary stability, trade openness, and institutional strength.
