DRC : Japan pledges $1.5 billion to the Congolese government (DRC) for the mining sector

The Government of Japan plans to grant financial support in the order of 1.5 billion dollars to the Congolese State (DRC) to meet the need to quantify the market value of its subsoil through the exploration of its various deposits.
The announcement was made on August 10, 2023 during an exchange between the DRC’s Vice-Minister of Mines, Godard Motema, representing the absent Minister of Mines, and Nishimura Yasutoshi, Japan’s Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry.
