DRC : British International Investment provides $25M loan to Rawbank to back 1,500 SMEs
British International Investment (BII) has announced a $25 million senior loan facility to Rawbank, the Democratic Republic of Congo’s largest commercial bank, to expand access to finance for small and medium‑sized enterprises (SMEs) and non‑mining corporates. This facility forms part of a broader $265 million financing package supported by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), Proparco, the OPEC Fund, and eco.business Fund to extend credit to at least 1,500 additional SMEs over four years (source: official BII/Rawbank release, 4 March 2026).
