DRC : $30 billion expected from cocoa by 2030

The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) expects its cocoa production to generate $30 billion by 2030, according to Minister of Foreign Trade, Julien Paluku. Currently producing between 100,000 and 200,000 tons annually, the country aims to reach 3 million tons per year. With vast arable land and « organic » crops, DRC seeks to become a major player in the global cocoa market while maintaining environmental sustainability.
