DR Congo : victory of Félix Tshisekedi confirmed by the Constitutional Court

The Constitutional Court in the Democratic Republic of Congo has confirmed Félix Tshisekedi’s victory in the December 20 presidential election. This follows the rejection of a petition filed by another candidate contesting the results due to alleged « multiple irregularities ». According to the final results unveiled at a public hearing, the incumbent president’s share of the vote increased by a tenth of a point, from 73.34% (provisional figures announced by the electoral commission on December 31) to 73.47%.
