Cultural heritage restitution : agreement for the Return of 26 Benin Sculptures

Following an agreement between Nigeria and the Oba of Benin, Ewuare II, the repatriation of 26 historical sculptures held in Germany is set to resume. The Minister of Culture will travel to Berlin in the coming months to finalize the process. This marks a significant step in the return of Nigeria’s cultural heritage.
