Côte d’Ivoire : $1.21bn committed to two gold mining projects

Côte d’Ivoire’s Council of Ministers approved two gold mining permits, enabling projects led by Etruscan Resources Côte d’Ivoire (Assafo-Didibango, Koun-Fao/Tanda) and Ampella Mining Côte d’Ivoire (Doropo). Combined investment stands at CFA732.71bn (around $1.21bn). The mines target an estimated 179 tonnes of gold output over their lifecycles, alongside thousands of direct jobs across construction and operations phases.
