COP29: Canada-Nigeria partnership for an innovative carbon credit model

At COP29, Canada and Nigeria unveiled a strategic partnership to create an innovative carbon credit model aimed at promoting the country’s economic and ecological development. Led by NASENI and DigiHub Shawinigan, the project establishes a carbon offset system tailored to the Nigerian market, reinvesting the generated credits into the local economy. The initiative also targets energy-efficient solutions for technologies, particularly artificial intelligence.
