On July 20, 2025, Burkina Faso and Chad signed a memorandum of understanding in Ouagadougou to strengthen collaboration in mining and geology. The deal, signed by ministers Yacouba Zabré Gouba (Burkina) and Ndolenodji Alixe Naïmbaye (Chad), aims to foster South-South cooperation through knowledge sharing and modernization of mining practices.
