COMESA and the World Bank : $5 billion for sustainable energy in Africa

In Lusaka, COMESA and the World Bank are launching the $5 billion ASCENT program to provide sustainable electricity to 20 African countries over 7 years. The project will benefit 100 million people, particularly vulnerable communities in Eastern and Southern Africa.
