On September 5, 2025, Jiaxing (Zhejiang) launched its first direct maritime line to Africa, connecting Zanzibar (Tanzania) and Beira (Mozambique). A Hong Kong-registered vessel departed with 200 TEUs of equipment for infrastructure projects. The monthly service will cut logistics costs and boost trade under the Belt and Road Initiative.
