Central Africa : Kigali and Kinshasa sign economic accord to consolidate peace

Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo have signed a regional economic integration framework to turn diplomatic progress into tangible development. Supervised by the United States, the pact aims to boost cooperation in trade, infrastructure, and investment. Its implementation depends on Rwanda’s troop withdrawal from eastern DRC and the neutralization of FDLR rebels. Meeting in Washington, the joint committee reaffirmed support for the ongoing Doha peace process.
