On October 15, 2025, Cape Verdean President José Maria Neves inaugurated the country’s first plastic recycling plant in Praia. The facility, capable of processing up to 300 tons of plastic per month, aims to reduce waste, promote a circular economy, and enhance the value of plastic materials across the archipelago. This project represents a strategic step for local industry and environmental sustainability.
