Cameroon : IFC targets $480M investments in private sector by 2027
On January 22, 2026, Ethiopis Tafara, IFC Regional Vice President for Africa, conducted an economic mission in Douala, meeting SMEs, banks, and local operators. IFC plans to expand its investment portfolio in Cameroon to over CFA 300 billion (≈ $480 M) by 2027, boosting access to finance, innovation, and advisory for young entrepreneurs, while addressing energy and regulatory challenges to foster inclusive growth.
