Cameroon : Afreximbank to finalize $330M deal on CEMAC securities market in June

On June 6, 2025, Treasury Director Samuel Tela (Minfi) announced that Afreximbank is set to finalize a $330 million financing deal this June via a currency swap with the BEAC. The funds will be used to subscribe to government bonds (OTAs) issued by Cameroon, marking the first entry of a foreign financial institution into the CEMAC securities market.
