Burundi : $271 million from the IMF to support economic reforms
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) will grant financing of $271 million for Burundi. An amount that is part of an Extended Credit Facility (ECF) agreement with the Central African country. Spread over 38 months, the ECF will support the Burundian State’s reform program aimed at meeting its protracted balance of payments needs, reducing debt vulnerabilities, as well as strengthening inclusive economic growth and governance.
