Burkina Faso: Inauguration of the tomato processing plant in Bobo-Dioulasso
On November 30, 2024, the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, inaugurated the tomato processing plant in Bobo-Dioulasso, marking a significant milestone in community entrepreneurship through popular shareholding. This plant, the result of collective mobilization by the Burkinabè people, aims to process 100 tons of tomatoes per day and promote local industry. It creates 180 direct jobs and 3,000 indirect jobs, primarily for young people. This pioneering project is part of Burkina Faso’s strategy for industrialization and economic diversification.
