Burkina Faso : AfDB’s $76M loan to upgrade road network

The African Development Fund (ADF), a branch of the African Development Bank, granted Burkina Faso a loan of €70.34 million (approximately $76 million) to strengthen and maintain its road network. The program includes maintenance through 2030, infrastructure rehabilitation, and the construction of workshops for sustainable road management. Part of the Sahel Special Initiative and the 2022-2026 national strategy, it aims to improve access to services, economic integration, and mobility, particularly in rural areas.
