Burkina Faso : $150.5 million mobilized by the mining development Fund in 2025

Burkina Faso mobilized 85 billion CFA francs (150.5 million USD) in 2025 through the Mining Development Fund (FMD), according to the Permanent Secretariat of the National Technical Commission for Mines and the FMD under the Ministère de l’Énergie, des Mines et des Carrières du Burkina Faso. About 59% (50.8 billion CFA / 90.3 million USD) supports the Patriotic Support Fund and 41% (34.8 billion CFA / 61.9 million USD) finances local development projects. Prime Minister Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo told the Transitional Legislative Assembly on January 30 2026 that national gold output exceeded 94 tons in 2025, generating 776 billion CFA francs (1.3 billion USD) in state revenue.
