Ghana is considering joining the BRICS, says Foreign Minister Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey, confirming the interest expressed by President Nana Akufo-Addo. The country is taking this possibility very seriously, with a commission set up to study the issue. The BRICS, an informal group of emerging powers, recently welcomed five new members, including Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Ethiopia.
