Botswana : UAE sends 96 tonnes of urgent medical aid (September 22, 2025)

The United Arab Emirates dispatched an aircraft carrying 96 tonnes of essential medicines and medical supplies to Botswana, following the declaration of a national health emergency due to severe shortages. Dr. Tareq Ahmed Al Ameri, Chairman of the UAE Aid Agency, said the operation reflects the UAE’s humanitarian commitment to strengthening African health systems, particularly for children, women, and the elderly.
