Botswana : official communiqué signed to establish diplomatic relations with Azerbaijan

On November 12, 2025, in New York, Botswana and Azerbaijan formally established diplomatic relations. The joint communiqué was signed by Charles Masole, Botswana’s Permanent Representative to the UN, and Tofig Moussaïev, Azerbaijan’s Permanent Representative. Both nations commit to strengthening bilateral cooperation and dialogue based on the UN Charter, respecting sovereignty and territorial integrity. The document will be officially released by the UN.
