Botswana – India : bilateral agreements and strategic projects concluded during presidential visit

On November 13, 2025, Indian President Droupadi Murmu concluded her state visit to Botswana and Angola, her first in Africa. In Gaborone, she met with President Duma Gideon Boko to strengthen bilateral cooperation. The visit led to agreements including Botswana’s access to affordable Indian medicines and projects in trade, education, health, renewable energy, technology, and skills development. The visit precedes the 60th anniversary of India-Botswana diplomatic ties in 2026 and underscores India’s commitment to Africa.
