Botswana : inauguration of the Moshupa sanitation scheme

Botswana inaugurated the Moshupa Sanitation Scheme on Wednesday, a new wastewater treatment plant located in the village of Moshupa in the Southern District. This facility features a network of over 360 km of sewer pipes and a treatment system capable of processing 6.3 million liters, along with ten pumping stations and a 4.7 km access road. President Mokgweetsi Masisi emphasized the importance of this project in ensuring access to clean water and sanitation services, benefiting agricultural development and public health. Additional similar projects are planned as part of the National Development Plan No. 12.
