Botswana : $11.5 million invested in rail

Botswana’s Minister of Finance, Ndaba Gaolathe, has announced an investment of 156 million pula ($11.5 million / R208.7 million) to modernize the railway network in 2025/26. This budget includes the rehabilitation of the Limpopo Corridor and feasibility studies for expansion. Overall, infrastructure will receive a budget of P11.54 billion ($850 million). The government is relying on public-private partnerships (PPPs) to optimize funding.
