The Project to build 35 urban and regional markets initiated by the government of the rupture is entering its active phase in Parakou, Djougou and Natitingou. The handover of the sites for the start of the works was effective on January 16 and 17, 2020. During the 15 months which constitute the execution time of the works, the Guéma market in Parakou, the central market of Djougou and that of Natitingou will be rebuilt and will benefit from all the amenities worthy of modern markets. In total, 4 billion CFA francs will be invested in Parakou, also taking into account a sewage sludge treatment station; 4 billion in Djougou and 6 billion in Natitingou.
