Bank of Africa : strengthening economic ties with the Bank of Palestine

BANK OF AFRICA and BANK OF PALESTINE signed a partnership agreement on May 7, focusing on sustainable development, financial inclusion and support for entrepreneurship. The partnership aims to strengthen economic cooperation between Palestine and Morocco.

The cooperation includes a symbolic cross-shareholding in the capital of both banks. The agreement also includes expanded collaboration in Trade Finance and Correspondent Banking, as well as an exchange of expertise in SME financing and innovation support.

Othman BENJELLOUN, Chairman of BANK OF AFRICA, emphasized: “This is an institutional act of solidarity and confidence in the future of the Palestinian Territories.”

Hashim Shawa, Chairman of Bank of Palestine Group, said: “This partnership is in line with our vision of regional expansion. We are grateful to the Chairman of BANK OF AFRICA and to the Kingdom of Morocco for their confidence in Palestine’s economic future.”
